About Me

As a technical writer, we wear many hats, and do many jobs that our title doesn’t truly reflect. I am no exception to this, having been a technical writer, content strategist, UX copy writer, and project manager since 2018.

As all children do I had many career dreams: a chef, a journalist, a fireman, a marine biologist, and many more. Then you grow up and leave behind some of those old dreams. But writing was the dream I never let go of. I just didn’t know at the time what kind of writing I’d be doing. Fast forward to the present and here I am, writing for B2B startups, large tech corporations, and SaaS companies.

I didn’t decide one day to be a technical writer. Like many of us, it fell into my lap in a stroke of luck. Graduating from university with a bachelors degree in marine biology and coastal ecology, I realised that I am actually quite good at writing. I enjoy taking a difficult concept and removing the jargon, so just about anyone can obtain that knowledge. So instead of finding a job on a research vessel, I decided to venture into the world of tech. I haven’t looked back.

When I’m not working you can find me cuddled up with my cat Pingu reading a book, stretching out my muscles in the pilates studio, lifting heavy weights at the gym, or playing video games with friends and family.
